Marcus Rashford is expected to move on from Manchester United this summer, with several top English and Spanish clubs interested.
According to CaughtOffside, Rashford will accept a lower salary to allow a new team to afford to sign him. Currently, the 27-year-old is on a £325,000-per-year contract at Old Trafford, with three years remaining on his deal.
Marcus Rashford split last season between Manchester United and Aston Villa. He registered 10 goal contributions in 23 appearances for United before making a midseason switch to Villa, where he added four goals and two assists in 14 matches.
While out of form now, Rashford has had brilliant seasons in recent years and a new club will look to unlock his quality. The English international scored 17 goals in the league twice, in the 2019/2020 season and the 2022/2023 season.
With the World Cup on the horizon, Rashford will be eager to join a club that offers regular playing time and allows him to operate in his preferred position on the wing, crucial factors if he hopes to catch the attention of Thomas Tuchel and earn a spot in the squad.
Aston Villa are interested in retaining Rashford’s services, with fellow Premier League clubs Newcastle United and Tottenham also interested. Barcelona remains the forward’s preferred destination, though their interest is unconfirmed, and a deal would be complicated considering their finances.
