Bruno Fernandes has been named the Sir Matt Busby Player of the Year and the Players’ Player of the Year after another outstanding season.
The Sir Matt Busby award is Fernandes’s fourth, adding him to elite company alongside David De Gea and Cristiano Ronaldo. It’s also the second time he has won back-to-back Player of the Year awards after taking the prize in 2020 and 2021.
Amad Diallo and Harry Maguire finished second and third in the voting.
Bruno has added the Players’ Player of the Year award to his collection, marking the first time he has received this particular honor. With this achievement, he has now won every major end-of-season accolade at least once, including Goal of the Season.
In a challenging campaign, the club captain has earned the admiration of his teammates through his relentless commitment and leadership. He consistently gives his all, even in the most difficult fixtures. Ruben Amorim has also relied heavily on his Portuguese compatriot, with Fernandes only sitting out one match due to rest.
Congratulations to Bruno Fernandes on this well-deserved achievement.
