Breakthrough star Amad Diallo could miss the rest of the season due to injury. According to ESPN, the 22-year-old suffered ankle ligament damage in training, adding to the extensive list of Reds who have gone down this week.

Earlier today, injuries to Kobbie Mainoo, Manuel Ugarte, and Toby Collyer were confirmed, leaving the club with minimal options in midfield for the trip to Tottenham.

Amad Diallo has been a standout performer this season, especially since Ruben Amorim’s arrival. The young Ivorian has six goals and six assists in the Premier League this season, which are both team highs.

With Amad, Mainoo, Ugarte, and Collyer injured, Amorim could call on academy players to fill first-team needs. Talented 19-year-old Jack Moorhouse will travel with the squad to London, while Chido Obi and James Scanlon are options to provide attacking relief.

Manchester United play at Tottenham on Sunday before traveling to Everton next weekend.
