With a goal and an assist, Kobbie Mainoo stole the show in the second half of Manchester United’s Europa League win in Bucharest. How did the other fifteen Reds who played fare?

Starting Eleven

Altay Bayindir: 7 – Bayindir had little to do but saved both FCSB shots on target.

Noussair Mazraoui: 7 – Mazraoui thrived in the right center-back position, winning four tackles and nine duels.

Matthijs De Ligt: 6 – De Ligt was untested for most of the match, with his only defensive actions coming in his five aerial duels won.

Lisandro Martinez: 7 – Martinez has been on a good run of form, which continued in Romania. He defended well, clearing three times, and posed a threat in attack from center-back. The Argentine defender created one big chance and had three key passes to contribute to an overall quality performance.

Diogo Dalot: 8 – Dalot put together a complete performance, defending well and scoring a goal that can be attributed to intelligent positioning in attack.

Toby Collyer: 6 – Collyer had a strong first half before being substituted at halftime in a tactical adjustment. The 21-year-old remains dependable in possession, completing 94% of his passes, and brings the energy that Ruben Amorim values in midfield.

Kobbie Mainoo: 9 – Mainoo was the most threatening player for United in the first half and was rewarded in the second. He played a perfect ball across to assist Dalot’s goal and controlled his finish well, passing the ball into the FCSB net.

Tyrell Malacia: 5 – Malacia put himself in a dangerous spot with a yellow card in the first ten minutes. The Dutch defender was decent overall, but his days may be numbered with Patrick Dorgu arriving soon.

Bruno Fernandes: 7 – The United captain continued a fine run of form and was influential despite not contributing to the scoresheet. He defended from the front, winning five tackles, hit the crossbar, and completed a total of ___ passes.

Christian Eriksen: 6 – Eriksen was good in the first half but controlled the game after Amorim’s halftime substitutions. In his deeper role, he was able to keep possession and dictate the United attacks.

Rasmus Hojlund: 5 – While Hojlind did not find the scoresheet, his performance was an improvement. He nearly had an assist to Kobbie Mainoo in the first half and had two shots on target.

Substitutes

Amad Diallo: 6 – Alongside Garnacho, Amad made a big difference in United’s attacks in the second half. He pushed the FCSB defense and created opportunities in attack.

Alejandro Garnacho: 7 – Garnacho came on and quickly made a difference, hitting the post within his first couple of touches. He assisted Mainoo’s goal with a perfectly placed pass into the box and completed five total dribbles. Manchester United should try to keep him during this transfer window despite major interest from Napoli and Chelsea.

Leny Yoro: 6 – Yoro came on in the 72nd minute and completed all 19 of his passes and won two tackles.

Casemiro: 6 – Casemiro was busy in his limited action and should have scored a goal. Depending on the next few days, this appearance may have been his last for Manchester United.

Joshua Zirkzee: NR – Zirkzee finished out the last ten minutes after coming on for Rasmus Hojlund.
