Casemiro’s potential move to reunite with Cristiano Ronaldo at Al-Nassr has received a boost as the Saudi club nears completion of an outgoing transfer.
Anderson Talisca is set to undergo a medical at Jose Mourinho’s Fenerbahçe to finalize his transfer to Turkey, according to Fabrizio Romano. This move will create an available foreign player spot at Al-Nassr, which was previously preventing the Saudi club from signing Casemiro.
With the emergence of Toby Collyer, Casemiro has received less playing time, accelerating the prospect of a move away from Old Trafford. The 32-year-old has not played since the 2-0 defeat to Newcastle United on December 30th, despite being on the bench for every match in 2025.
Speaking on the Brazilian’s lack of opportunities, Ruben Amorim said, “I have to make some choices. I want to play a style of game that is sometimes different from other coaches and I have to choose based on that, that’s all.”
Clubs in Saudi Arabia have shown interest since the summer transfer window, with Al Nassr emerging as the likely destination in recent months, potentially reuniting Casemiro with Cristiano Ronaldo. The two players were a major part of a dominant Real Madrid team that won four Champions League titles.
With one week to go in the transfer window, Manchester United and Al-Nassr have work to do to get a transfer over the line.
