The Saudi Pro League has long had an interest in bringing Casemiro to the league. While summer interest never turned into a transfer, the league remained hopeful and may be able to persuade the player this January.
Casemiro is reportedly open to leaving Manchester United after two and a half seasons at Old Trafford, as he is not included in Ruben Amorim’s plans. A developing partnership between Kobbie Mainoo and Manuel Ugarte has pushed the 32-year-old out of a regular starting position. Casemiro has made twenty-two appearances in all competitions this season and has scored three goals.
According to The Telegraph, Al Nassr hopes to bring the Brazilian midfielder to the club in an effort to retain Cristiano Ronaldo, whose contract runs out this summer. The legendary striker is keen on reuniting with Casemiro, who he won four Champions League titles with at Real Madrid.

A sale of Casemiro could net Manchester United around €30 million, according to Ben Jacobs on X. While the transfer fee will help, offloading €350,000 a week in salary is a massive bonus as the club looks to do add players this month.
Ruben Amorim’s team is languishing in 13th place after twenty matches, though a 2-2 draw at Anfield has given hope to fans that a better second half of the season is coming. Selling Casemiro and using the funds to address team needs will certainly aid a second-half turnaround.
