Ruben Amorim will not seek to sign any players from Sporting CP during the January transfer window. The new Manchester United manager is interested in bringing several key players from his former club to Manchester United, but any transfers will have to wait until the summer.

The 39-year-old said: “I’m not going to come for any Sporting player in January. These years at Sporting have been the best years of my life and I won’t forget that.”

Since Amorim’s announcement, key players such as Viktor Gyorkeres, Gonçalo Inacio, and Marcus Edwards have been linked to Old Trafford.

Amorim will start at Manchester United on November 11, giving him time to evaluate the squad before the winter transfer window. The team requires upgrades, and by not pursuing players from Sporting, United will need to explore other options.

Antonee Robinson and Chris Rigg are two potential options for the Reds, as they have been previously linked.

Which Sporting players should Manchester United sign in the summer transfer window?
