Noussair Mazraoui, who has undoubtedly been one of Manchester United’s best players this season, will be out for a few weeks after undergoing a procedure for heart palpitations.

Manchester United confirmed this diagnosis in a statement: “This is a relatively common condition and Noussair is expected to make a full recovery and be available for selection within the next few weeks.”

In a surprising move, Mazraoui was removed at halftime against Aston Villa. Ten Hag’s comments after the match were vague, though this new development sheds light on what happened to the Moroccan international.

Mazraoui withdrew from international duty along with Kobbie Mainoo, Alejandro Garnacho, and Amad Diallo.

Luke Shaw’s anticipated return after the international break will help after the loss of Mazraoui. Diogo Dalot will be able to play on the right, where he is more comfortable.

Harry Maguire was also added to Manchester United’s injury list after the Aston Villa match, joining the Moroccan and Leny Yoro.

We wish Noussair Mazraoui the best in his recovery.

However, the 17-year-old’s lack of first-team minutes will likely earn him nothing more than a bench appearance. Either Jonny Evans or Lisandro Martinez will start on the left side of defense, with the Argentine the likelier option. […]
