With just two goals in three games to start the season, Manchester United have been left searching for answers in the attack. Amad Diallo and Joshua Zirkzee have scored, while the rest of the forward line has been largely ineffective.

A lack of depth in the attack, as well as in the midfield, has meant that Erik Ten Hag does not have game-changing options to bring on late.

With these issues in mind, United officials have made contact with Sevilla over the potential transfer of winger/midfielder/outside back Juanlu Sanchez. Yes, he can play each position listed.

The 21-year-old winger is as versatile as they come. He has played winger but starred at the Olympics as a right-back. This La Liga season has seen the young Spaniard also put in a shift in central midfield.

As an attacker, Juanlu possesses a keen ability to make key passes, creating opportunities for his teammates. In defense, his speed allows him to recover quickly and move up and down the line with ease.

A Manchester United move for Juanlu is a win-win situation. Even if he does not pan out as an attacker, he can provide depth in several other key areas.

With his contract expiring in 2026, a summer 2025 move could see any team land the 21-year-old at an FFP-friendly price.

Should Manchester United pursue Juanlu Sanchez next year?
