An outstanding start to the PL2 season has seen Jack Fletcher nominated for Player of the Month.

After missing the season opener against Arsenal, the 17-year-old scored in a win over Stoke City and assisted twice as the young Reds beat Blackburn 3-1. He also scored twice in a come-from-behind victory over Barnsley off the bench.

His performances have earned him a nomination alongside Joshua Ajala of West Ham, Khayon Edwards of Arsenal, Kyle McAdam of Nottingham Forest, Lewis Orford of West Ham, Nathan Butler-Oyedeji of Arsenal, and Kristian Sekularac of Fulham.

The son of United icon Darren Fletcher, Jack arrived from rivals Manchester City alongside his brother Tyler in 2023. Jack immediately stood out and has been around first-team training while also joining Erik Ten Hag’s team for the tour in the United States.

The continued rise of Jack Fletcher cannot be ignored for long, and the young midfielder could make his senior debut this season. With the Reds in four competitions, Ten Hag will have several matches against lesser competition that he can use to provide Fletcher with a first-team opportunity.

Jack, we hope to see you soon at the top level!
