Napoli has agreed to pay €30 million to Manchester United for Scott McTominay. United will also receive a percentage of any future sale of the Scottish international.

Financial Fair Play has been a focus for Manchester United this summer, and McTominay’s sale will go down as pure profit. The 27-year-old has been at the club since he was five years old.

Scott McTominay has become a super sub, scoring crucial goals off the bench against Brentford and Aston Villa last season. However, this limited role restricts his playing time, necessitating a move if he wants to start.

This sale will enable Manchester United to finalize the acquisition of Manuel Ugarte, the Uruguayan international who has been earmarked as the ideal long-term partner for Kobbie Mainoo.

More details to come soon.
