According to Fabrizio Romano, 16-year-old wonderkid Chido Obi-Martin will sign with Manchester United, spurning a stay at Arsenal and other European offers.

“Chido Obi Martin to Man United, here we go! Talented striker leaves Arsenal and he’s just accepted Man Utd proposal.”

Rumors had been swirling for weeks that Chido would leave for Old Trafford, but that rumor became reality today after Romano’s confirmation. Despite promises from Arsenal and tempting offers from Germany, the young star has chosen United.

Chido scored 32 goals for Arsenal’s U18 side while only playing 18 times. His star performances earned him two Premier League 2 opportunities.

Manchester United’s youth setup is one of the best in the world. In 2020, Alejandro Garnacho moved from Atletico Madrid to Carrington and is now a star winger for the Reds. Chido can only hope to follow in the footsteps of previous players who have moved to Manchester United to achieve their dreams.

Welcome to United, Chido!
