In a dramatic turn of events, Manchester United is set to sign star 18-year-old center-back Leny Yoro from Lille. He reportedly preferred a move to Real Madrid, but they seem unwilling to match the £52 million that Manchester United and Lille have agreed to. With a move to Madrid off the table, Yoro is now open to a move to Old Trafford.

His move to join the Reds is pending his medical, which he is flying to Manchester for, and a finalization of his contract.

Regarded as the next Raphael Varane, Leny Yoro is a highly coveted young center-back. United legend Rio Ferdinand even urged the defender to move to Old Trafford by saying, ‘If you’re looking Leny Yoro, please accept and come to Man United, please.” With 51 first-team appearances already under his belt, Yoro comes with experience on top of his abilities.

Manchester United wants at least two center-backs this summer, as Varane has already, left and others are being allowed to leave. Both Jarrad Branthwaite and Matthijs De Ligt are also targeted by United, and at least one is likely to be brought in.

INEOS is here and ready to make a statement. More to follow.
