United Beyond Manchester

Months of speculation over Jadon Sancho’s club situation may be coming to a close, and the result may not be the expected one. The once frozen-out winger has returned to Manchester United training ahead of the preseason, and discussions with Ten Hag have eased the situation tremendously.

The tumultuous relationship between player and manager led to Sancho being sent to Dortmund on loan last season. In Germany, Sancho had six goal contributions in twenty-one matches and played in the Champions League Final.

According to Football Italia, Juventus wanted to take advantage of the strained relationship between Ten Hag and Sancho and bring the player in on loan. However, the recent developments may mean that United can demand any club interested to pay the requested €40m or keep the player and give him another chance.

In his time in Manchester, Jadon Sancho only scored nine goals in fifty-eight Premier League matches. Now, though, he may receive another opportunity to justify the hefty transfer fee United paid for him when he arrived from Dortmund.
