Manchester United’s attack needs revamping, and that part of the field remains a priority for the early window. Matheus Cunha is a Red and Bryan Mbeumo likely will be soon. Once those deals are done, a proven finisher is needed to lead the line.

After reworking the frontline, more reinforcements are needed, especially in the middle of the park.

Reports earlier this week linked United to a £40 million transfer of Club Brugge’s Ardon Jashiri. Another young target for Ruben Amorim is PSG’s Warren Zaire-Emery. According to TeamTalk, Manchester United have begun “exploratory contacts” to see what it would take to sign the 19-year-old French international.

Zaire-Emery has already made 125 senior appearances for the Parisiens, scoring eight goals and assisting nine. He also has one goal in seven matches for France and is a former U-17 European champion with his nation.

Any deal for Zaire-Emery will be complicated. PSG does not want to lose him and have slapped a £100 million price tag to ward off other clubs. The report from TeamTalk states that the Champions League holders are expected to be firm in their valuation, as his contract runs through 2029.

In addition to the high price tag, United will need to offload players to make a transfer possible. Despite numerous rumors, no players have been sold. Marcus Rashford, Antony, Jadon Sancho, and others are expected to leave, but high wages are making moves difficult.

Arsenal are also interested in Zaire-Emery after adding Christian Norgaard and can offer Champions League football.
