Manchester United host Arsenal on Sunday in a battle of teams on the opposite ends of rebuilds. Arsenal sit 2nd in the Premier League, thirteen points behind the league leaders Liverpool, while United are 14th and fourteen points off the top four.

Team News

Manchester United will enter Sunday’s match against Arsenal with a similar squad to the one from Thursday’s draw. When asked whether any player could return for the high-profile game, Ruben Amorim said, “I don’t know. I don’t think so, so we’ll see.”

Amorim’s insight means that Harry Maguire and Manuel Ugarte will likely remain unavailable, along with a list of long-term absentees that includes Lisandro Martinez and Amad Diallo.

Patrick Dorgu played 90 minutes in San Sebastian on Thursday but will serve the second game of his domestic suspension against Arsenal.

While he was not added to the Europa League squad, Chido Obi is available to face his former club, along with winter signee Ayden Heaven, who could start with Harry Maguire out.

Toby Collyer returned to action late in the second half of Thursday’s draw and could be an option from the start due to the quick turnaround. Christian Eriksen is also a candidate to step into the midfield.
