Manchester United will host Fulham in the Fifth Round of the FA Cup during the first weekend in March.

Thrilling wins over Arsenal and Leicester City have gotten the Reds this far. In the match against the Gunners, United managed to hold on after Diogo Dalot received a red card in the 61st minute, forcing the game into penalties. Altay Bayindir made a heroic save against Kai Havertz’s penalty, adding to his earlier save from Martin Odegaard during normal time, leading to a 5-3 win from the spot.

In a match against Ruud Van Nistelrooy’s Leicester, Amorim’s team seemed poised for a disappointing 1-0 defeat. However, a 68th-minute equalizer by Joshua Zirkzee and a dramatic ‘Fergie Time’ winner from Harry Maguire turned the game around, securing a fortunate victory for the cup holders.

The Cottagers have reached the Fifth Round with wins over Championship side Watford and League One team Wigan Athletic.

Manchester United have won both meetings between the two teams 1-0 this season. Joshua Zirkzee gave Erik Ten Hag an opening night win with an 87th-minute finish in August, and Lisandro Martinez scored on a deflected strike in the return fixture in January.

With a Europa League spot available to the winners, Manchester United must continue progressing to return to European competition next season.
