Ruud Van Nistelrooy finished his interim manager role with a win against Leicester City. His time ended without a loss, as the Reds won three times and drew once with the Dutchmen at the helm.

A midfield-splitting pass from Christian Eriksen sent Bruno Fernandes away. The captain found Garnacho on the wing, who took a touch inside and curled the ball into the top corner to give Manchester United a 3-0 lead.

The Reds provided Van Nistelrooy with a perfect conclusion to his interim role. The Dutchman’s passion energized both the fans and the sidelines whenever he stepped into the manager’s box. Hopefully, the legendary striker will remain involved when Ruben Amorim arrives next week.

The new era will begin after the international break when United visits Portman Road to face Kieran McKenna and Ipswich Town. The Blues, who have been promoted two years in a row, sit 17th in the Premier League.
