Reece Munro has signed his first professional contract with Manchester United after an impressive campaign.

Munro made 27 appearances for Manchester United’s academy this season, including seven in Premier League 2. He also featured 90 total minutes across the two post-season fixtures in Malaysia. His involvement in first-team training under Amorim in March further highlights the manager’s belief in his potential.

Munro posted on Instagram following his new contract, saying:

“Delighted to announce I’ve signed my first professional contract with this massive club, a proud moment for me and my family.

“Thank you to those who have played a role in my journey so far Hard work continues.”

Manchester United has a wealth of young defensive talent. Leny Yoro and Ayden Heaven have become first-team regulars as teenagers, while Munro, Godwill Kukonki, and Tyler Fredricson are all highly rated.

Munro’s future is bright, and his first professional contract signals a possible push into the first team next season.
