Starting Eleven

Andre Onana: 5 – Onana had a quiet game, with only one shot on target—unfortunately, it went in, though he wasn’t at fault.

Leny Yoro: 6 – Yoro put in one of the better performances for United in the loss. He was solid defensively and ventured forward when the opportunity presented itself. If Manchester United are to get back into Europe after next season, Yoro will be a key to getting there.

Harry Maguire: 6 – Maguire defended valiantly, clearing nine times and winning nine duels.

Luke Shaw: 4 – Shaw and Dorgu failed to realize the danger when Brennan Johnson made his run into the box and scored. He was unconvincing in the back three and looked uncomfortable passing out of the back.

Noussair Mazraoui: 7 – Mazraoui played well matched up with Richarlison and Udogie on his side. His five tackles were the most for United, and he created a big chance.

Casemiro: 5 – Casemiro failed to control the midfield like he had in previous rounds. He made just one tackle and lost the ball 15 times.

Bruno Fernandes: 4 – Fernandes was nowhere near his best, and his giveaway led to the passage of play that Spurs scored on. The club captain has been fantastic all season, and it’s disappointing that his off night came in the Europa League Final.

Patrick Dorgu: 5 – Dorgu made several excellent recovery tackles and won seven of eight duels. Unfortunately, his positive defensive contributions were overshadowed by his mix-up with Luke Shaw in Brennan Johnson’s goal. He also failed to contribute to the attack despite ample opportunities from good positions.

Amad: 7 – Amad was United’s lone attacking threat throughout the match, consistently taking on defenders in search of openings. However, he often lacked support in the final third. As arguably the most gifted young player at the club, it’s crucial that Amorim identifies the Ivorian’s ideal role within his system.

Mason Mount: 5 – Mount injected energy into the match but struggled to make an impact in attack. With Amorim rating him highly, the former England international could play a more prominent role next season.

Rasmus Hojlund: 5 – Hojlund had a quiet game overall but came close to a heroic moment, denied only by Micky van de Ven’s acrobatic goal-line clearance. The Danish striker is expected to part ways with United after the final Premier League match this weekend.

Substitutes

Joshua Zirkzee: 5 – Zirkzee was never going to have it easy coming in after missing so much time. He was kept quiet and had just six touches in his 20 minutes.

Alejandro Garnacho: 6 – Garnacho made a positive impact off the bench, stretching the Tottenham defense with his direct play. In just 20 minutes, he registered a shot on target and a key pass, making a strong case for why he may have been the better starting option over Mount.

Diogo Dalot: 6 – Dalot was brought on to put in crosses, and he played in four in his 14 minutes. He had two key passes and a big chance created.

Kobbie Mainoo: NR – Mainoo’s role diminished after he returned from injury this season, and he played just nine minutes in the loss. Amorim may not have a role for him next season.

Man of the Match: Amad Diallo
