Manchester United are 90 minutes away from securing a spot in the Europa League Final. A 3-0 away win at the San Mames last week has set up what should be a comfortable second leg for the Reds. However, nothing has been easy for United this season, and Ruben Amorim will be wary of the opponent’s attacking prowess.

Who does Amorim have available, and who will start, in this crucial European match?

Team News

Ruben Amorim will likely keep the same lineup as the side that won 3-0 last week. Many of the players who helped secure the win were rested in Sunday’s loss to Brentford.

Leny Yoro, Harry Maguire, and Victor Lindelof were excellent in Bilbao and will likely retain their spots at the back. Lindelof was especially impressive and has earned the opportunity to start again.

Noussair Mazraoui and Patrick Dorgu will play wide, while Casemiro, who has been world-class the past few weeks, and Manuel Ugarte should keep their spots in midfield. Ugarte played the full 90 against Brentford, securing a third assist in two games.

Alejandro Garnacho’s form has continued to improve, and he scored and assisted in Sunday’s loss. The Argentine, along with Bruno Fernandes, should play beneath Rasmus Hojlund in attack. Both Fernandes and Hojlund should be fresh after sitting out at the weekend.

Matthijs De Ligt and Amad Diallo returned to action in the first leg of the tie, but the former succumbed to a new injury against Brentford and had to be helped off the field. Amad is unlikely to start on Thursday but could play a big role off the bench after playing 45 minutes and scoring on Sunday.

Lisandro Martinez, Toby Collyer, Joshua Zirkzee, and Diogo Dalot will remain sidelined with long-term injuries.
