Manchester United officials want to continue the recent youth movement this summer and are targeting three of PSG’s best academy players.
Axel Tape, Mahamadou Sangare, and Oumar Camara are all on Manchester United’s transfer radar. The three teenage stars are targets of many top European clubs, including Chelsea, Newcastle, and Tottenham in the Premier League.
Last summer, United brought in Chido Obi from Arsenal, Sekou Kone from Guidars FC, and Leny Yoro from Lille. While Yoro has been the most impactful and has become an important first-team player, Obi has made his debut and Kone has featured on Amorim’s bench.
Following the successful summer moves, the Reds added Ayden Heaven from Arsenal in January. Heaven put in several quality performances in the Premier League and Europa League before hitting the sidelines with an injury.
United also secured the signing of Diego Leon from Cerro Porteno, who will arrive after the current season.
With the success of the recent academy signings, Manchester United are pushing for more this summer. The PSG trio of Tape, Sangare, and Camara would give United’s academy a plethora of new talent in defense and attack, adding to an already outrageous number of teenage talents.
Tape has already decided against staying at PSG, and will not sign a professional contract at the club, according to RMC Sport. Bayer Leverkusen and Tottenham are specifically chasing the winger, but United are keeping tabs and could convince him to join the project.
Manchester United has always been a destination for top young players. Could Tape, Sangare, and Coumara be the next three to join the famed academy?
