Manchester United will host Fulham in the FA Cup Fifth Round on Sunday, aiming to continue their reign as the current trophy holders.
Team News
Ruben Amorim will be running with a similar squad to the one that beat Ipswich Town for the FA Cup Fifth Round on Sunday.
Patrick Dorgu’s red card midweek applies to all domestic competition, meaning he will be unavailable. Noussair Mazraoui is the likely solution, with Habeeb Ogunneye as another option for the open wing back role.
Alejandro Garnacho is the only player in question outside of Dorgu after picking up a knock against Ipswich.
Speaking on the injury, Amorim said, “When he went to shoot, when it was blocked almost inside the box [against Ipswich].”
“He has a knock, I expect him to be ready but we will see, I have to wait until tomorrow.”
Chido Obi was kept out of the FA Youth Cup match against his former club, Arsenal, and will be available for the senior team against Fulham. Given Rasmus Hojlund’s struggles, the FA Cup could provide a golden opportunity for Amorim to hand the 17-year-old his first start.
Lisandro Martinez, Amad Diallo, and Jonny Evans are all out due to long-term injuries, while Altay Bayindir, Toby Collyer, Tom Heaton, Mason Mount, and Luke Shaw also remain out.
