Manchester United could be without three key midfielders at the London Stadium on Sunday due to training injuries. According to the Athletic, Kobbie Mainoo, Manuel Ugarte, and Toby Collyer are all doubts, with Mainoo’s injury potentially a multi-week issue.

In his pre-match press conference on Friday, Amorim refused to name the players who picked up new injuries, saying, “No, no, we will see at the weekend.”

Now, we know them to be Mainoo, Ugarte, and Collyer.

With the young trio out, Casemiro, Christian Eriksen, and Bruno Fernandes are the only three senior midfielders available. Therefore, 19-year-old Jack Moorhouse joined first-team training and will travel with the team on Sunday.

The three new injuries take United up to eight, as Mason Mount, Jonny Evans, Victor Lindelof, Luke Shaw, and Lisandro Martinez remain out.
