Alejandro Garnacho is one of several Manchester United Academy graduates who could leave the club in the next few transfer windows while the club aims to fix its PSR troubles. According to Alfredo Pedulla, Napoli wants Garnacho this month, as the Italian club has had an opening bid of €45 million rejected by United.
According to the report, Napoli would need to raise its bid closer to Manchester United’s €72 million valuation of the talented 20-year-old to secure his services.
On Sunday, Garnacho made his first start since being dropped from the squad ahead of the Manchester Derby. His second-half assist to Bruno Fernandes opened the scoring against Arsenal and helped United force penalties, which the Reds ultimately won. His reintegration into Ruben Amorim’s team has given fans hope that he could stay at Old Trafford and play a larger role through the end of this season.
While other clubs, including Atletico Madrid, hold an interest in Garnacho, Napoli remains the likeliest destination should he leave. Kvicha Kvaratshkelia is on the verge of moving to PSG, and Gli Azzuri sees Garnacho as the optimal replacement for their star winger.
Should Manchester United sell Garnacho now or try to offload other players instead?
