If you beat them twice, join them; they need you. After defeating Leicester City 5-2 and 3-0 as interim Manchester United manager, Ruud Van Nistelrooy is set to become the Foxes’ next manager, according to Sky Sports.

Leicester City sacked Steve Cooper on Sunday after the loss to Chelsea dropped the side to 16th in the league.

Van Nistelrooy joined United this season, spurning opportunities to manage in favor of becoming an assistant at his former club. When Ten Hag was fired, the 48-year-old became the interim manager, securing three wins and a draw in four matches.

Ruud Van Nistelrooy’s time at United ended prematurely as Ruben Amorim decided to release the former PSV manager, despite his desire to stay.

Leicester City will be Van Nistelrooy’s first managerial role in one of the top five leagues, marking a significant step towards his goal of eventually managing Manchester United.

Manchester United will face Leicester City for a third time this season on March 15th at the King Power Stadium.

Good luck to Ruud Van Nistelrooy in his new role!
