Since the loss against West Ham, Manchester United have sacked Erik Ten Hag, beaten Leicester City 5-2, and agreed a deal with Ruben Amorim to become the new manager. However, the new manager will not be in Manchester until mid-November, leaving Ruud Van Nistelrooy in charge of the next three matches.

The interim manager got off to a great start with the win over Leicester. The goals will need to keep flowing, though, if United are to win against a resurgent Chelsea side.

Van Nistelrooy will likely start a mostly unchanged side on Sunday. One change the Dutchman could make to improve the backline is to bring Noussair Mazraoui into the starting eleven. This move would send Victor Lindelof to the bench and move Lisandro Martinez to the center of defense with Matthijs De Ligt.

The other predicted change is Andre Onana returning to the net after Altay Bayindir’s Carabao Cup start.

Alejandro Garnacho, Bruno Fernandes, and Casemiro excelled on Wednesday and will have the chance to build on their strong performances.

Predicted Starting Eleven

Goalkeeper: Andre Onana

Defenders: Diogo Dalot, Matthijs De Ligt, Lisandro Martinez, Noussair Mazraoui

Midfielders: Manuel Ugarte, Casemiro, Bruno Fernandes

Attackers: Alejandro Garnacho, Joshua Zirkzee, Marcus Rashford

Can United continue building momentum under Ruud Van Nistelrooy?
