In two matches this week, Manchester United’s attack had thirty-four shots and just a single goal. Despite solid defensive performances, only two points were earned between the two games. With a critical early season match against Spurs on Sunday, Erik Ten Hag must make changes in attack to have a chance at three points.

Now healthy, Rasmus Hojlund should start over Joshua Zirkzee to give the attack a different look. Alejandro Garnacho will start with in-form Marcus Rashford on the flanks.

Manuel Ugarte could make his full Premier League debut, joined by Kobbie Mainoo in the middle of the park. Manchester United needs Bruno Fernandes to regain form, as his influence has been minimal this season, and Tottenham provides the perfect opportunity to do it.

While the attack has struggled, the defense has been excellent. The backline and goalkeeper have conceded just once over the past four outings. Back-to-back clean sheets in the Premier League for Andre Onana tied him with Alisson and David Raya for most in the league through five matches. The Cameroonian will start in goal with Noussair Mazraoui, Lisandro Martinez, Matthijs De Ligt, and Diogo Dalot in front of him.

Starting Eleven

Goalkeeper: Andre Onana

Defenders: Noussair Mazraoui, Lisandro Martinez, Matthijs De Ligt, Diogo Dalot

Midfielders: Kobbie Mainoo, Manuel Ugarte, Bruno Fernandes

Attackers: Marcus Rashford, Rasmus Hojlund, Alejandro Garnacho
