Interim England manager Lee Carsley has called upon Harry Maguire and Kobbie Mainoo to join his squad for matches against the Republic of Ireland and Finland.

Mainoo established himself as a regular alongside Declan Rice in the England midfield during the European Championships. Gareth Southgate tried to keep the 19-year-old out of his team, but the young midfielder’s quality made it impossible to ignore him for long. With a new manager coming in soon, Mainoo will have to keep impressing to maintain his place.

Maguire returns for the Three Lions after missing the Euros with an injury. He has been a fixture in the side for years but must play well with younger defenders knocking at the door.

Other United players that miss this window include Marcus Rashford, Jadon Sancho, and Luke Shaw, with the latter still out from injury. All three will be fighting for a place in the October Nations League matches.

Which Red are you more excited to see play for England in the upcoming matches?
