Manchester United needs to offload more players to stay within the Financial Fair Play rules. While the club has already sold several players, the funds generated are not near those that have been spent. With United still interested in adding at least one top-level midfielder, multiple players, including Scott McTominay, could be allowed to leave.

According to Italian journalist Alfredo Pedulla, the Neopolitans want Scott McTominay to be a part of their rejuvenated midfield. Fellow Scotsman Billy Gilmour is another target for Napoli, and the club is interested in sealing both transfers while in the UK.

Fulham is also interested in the United midfielder, but club officials are keeping intel close to home about the possibility of signing him.

McTominay has become an intriguing player for teams needing goals from the midfield. Last season, the Scottish midfielder’s goals saved the Reds multiple times, including two fantastic doubles against Brentford and Chelsea. His ten goals in all competitions were more than double the previous year and began to spark interest outside Manchester.

McTominay is not the only United midfielder who could leave. As Manchester United push for Manuel Ugarte, Christian Eriksen could also exit Old Trafford.

Should Manchester United try to hold McTominay or cash in on him?
