The next big transfer decision has been made by Manchester United officials. After a year-long loan spell, Sofyan Amrabat’s buy-clause will not be activated, though United remain interested in Amrabat on different terms.
The Moroccan international made a total of 30 appearances across all competitions in the 2023-2024 season. Though primarily a defensive midfielder, Amrabat was also used as a left-back several times due to injuries.
According to Fabrizio Romano, there are other clubs interested in Amrabat. In the past, AC Milan and Fulham pursued the 27-year-old.
Manchester United has been active in pursuing other defensive midfield options. Manuel Ugarte has agreed to personal terms with the club amid negotiations with PSG. Adrien Rabiot also remains an option on a free transfer. With these players becoming the priority, United will see what happens before returning to Amrabat.
We wish Sofyan Amrabat well for the future if United doesn’t secure his signature!
