The INEOS staff have not been messing around since taking over football operations at Manchester United. Dan Ashworth, Omar Berrada, and Joe Wilcox have been picked to lead the rebuild by Sir Jim Ratcliffe. Since the footballing structure has been completed, moves for a revamped coaching staff have begun.
Three new coaches have now joined that fit Erik Ten Hag’s philosophy. United legend Ruud van Nistelrooy has been added to support the club’s strikers. Rene Hake has joined the staff as an assistant coach following his departure from Go Ahead Eagles.
Now, Jelle ten Rouwelaar will join the Reds in a shock move from Ajax. The 43-year-old goalkeeping coach spent the past two years at Burnley and moved to Ajax two months ago. In a surprising turn of events, Manchester United have swooped in and taken ten Rouwelaar for a compensation fee yet to be announced.
One specialty of Jelle ten Roulewaar’s is perfecting team build-up out of the back. Erik Ten Hag’s side has implemented this philosophy since he has taken over but have had mixed results. Hiring the new Dutch goalkeeping coach is a move that hopes to rectify that issue.
After the new personnel and coaching staff additions, United fans will now look to see who the club adds to the playing staff. Times are changing at Old Trafford, whether for better or worse.
