Manchester United needs to shake up the attack, and one option that could be available in July is Paulo Dybala.

According to ESPN, Manchester United are intrigued by the possibility of signing Paulo Dybala on a cut-price deal. There is a clause in the 30-year-old’s contract that from July 1st to July 30th, any non-Italian club can sign Dybala for just €12m.

With Manchester United in need of experienced attackers, Dybala could be a perfect addition to Erik Ten Hag’s options. Currently, Alejandro Garnacho, Rasmus Hojlund, and Amad Diallo are the only three forwards who are sure to stay past this summer, and they are all 21 and under. A player of Dybala’s experience and quality could add a different dimension to United’s attack, as well as help in the development of the younger forwards.

Paulo Dybala was integral to any success Roma had this past season. While only playing 58% of the minutes in Serie A, he scored or assisted on 34% of Roma’s goals in the league. With 13 goals and 9 assists, the forward was essential to the attack.

That importance is leading to the stall in his contract renewal.

Dybala wants to be paid like an important player, but Roma is reluctant to offer what he wants. While he was productive, he did miss ten matches through injury, and that concern will only grow with age.

Despite these concerns, Manchester United should jump at the opportunity to sign the Argentine for the low price available on July 1st. Money is slim in Manchester this summer, and a cheap option like Dybala could free funds for other positions.

Would you take Dybala at Old Trafford?
