The final matchdays are starting to take shape as teams find out what they need to push through to the knockout rounds. After today’s matches, Group C remains wide open, and Spain has essentially already won Group B. Below, look at how each fixture unfolded.

Serbia 1 Slovenia 1

Slovenia thought the game was won when they had a 1-0 lead after 94 minutes. That was until Luka Jovic stepped in.

Slovenia came out and was impressive again after a draw with Denmark. Right back Zan Karnicnik buried the ball into the bottom corner off a Timi Elsnik cross to give the underdog side the lead in the 69th minute.

The lead did not survive, though, as substitute Luka Jovic headed home for Serbia to keep them alive in the tournament. The group is still wide open, as all four teams are within three points of each other. The final matchday will be thrilling as England face Slovenia and Denmark battle Serbia.

England 1 Denmark 1

Manchester United dodged a bullet by not pursuing Gareth Southgate for the manager role. Southgate’s England survived with a draw against a far superior Denmark side. With all the individual talent that England has, this group should be over by now.

The Three Lions started well, and Harry Kane scored in the 18th minute with an easy side-footed finish. Disappointingly, England dropped off after scoring and allowed Denmark to get back into the game, eventually conceding in the 34th minute. 21-year-old Manchester United target Morten Hjulmand produced a moment of magic with a strike from beyond thirty yards into Jordan Pickford’s bottom corner.

After the equalizer, Denmark bossed the game and may be considered unlucky to have not won. Christian Eriksen and Rasmus Hojlund were quiet, but helped the Danes stay in control.

It’s clear. Without Manchester United players in the team, England just is not the same.

Spain 1 Italy 0

Spain dominated Croatia in the first match and faced a real test in Italy today. They passed this test with flying colors and will only wonder how they did not score more. Spain was in control wire-to-wire but only found the net through an Italy own goal. This won’t matter, though, as they dominated possession and chances.

Gigi Donnarumma was forced into nine saves for Italy. If it was not for him, it would have been a lot worse.

Spain is through to the knockouts, but Italy still needs a result in the final matchday against Croatia to ensure qualification.

In your opinion, who produced today’s best moment?
