The March international break started with a bang for Manchester United players as Portugal trounced Sweden 5-2.

Bruno Fernandes claimed a goal with a simple finish into an open net to put Portugal on top 3-0 after goals from Rafael Leao and Matheus Nunes. He also registered an assist to Bruma in the second half, as the 29-year-old played the full 90 minutes for his country.

It was obviously a much different story for Victor Lindelof. The Swedish captain’s side suffered the heaviest defeat in years and conceded five or more goals for the first time since 1989. Lindelof and Sweden will look to rebound against Albania on Monday.

Diogo Dalot was left out of the Portugal squad along with Cristiano Ronaldo, Ruben Neves, and Joao Cancelo. Dalot will hope to find minutes when Portugal face Slovenia on Tuesday.

Manchester United U18 star James Scanlon became the first Red to feature for the Gibraltar national team when he came on as a substitute against Lithuania. Gibraltar fell 1-0 to Lithuania, but it will be a day to remember for young Scanlon. The midfielder will have a long career with his national team.

Former Red Dan James also found the net for Wales in their win over Finland.

Which Manchester United player are you looking forward to seeing feature for their country during this window?
