We take a quick break from our regularly scheduled program to address the unfortunate time we are now in. Just as the hype of the end of the season exploded (thank you, Amad Diallo), we now must wait ten more days to see the Reds back in action and nine days for any European club football. So, how do we survive this dreaded wait to see United play again?

1. Enjoy Your National Team

For me, the United States face Jamaica in the CONCACAF Nations League Semi-Final. A win in this match puts the USMNT into a final with an opportunity to win a third straight Nations League trophy. With the Copa America coming to the US this summer, Gregg Berhalter will want momentum heading into the tournament.

England plays two high-profile friendlies against Brazil and Belgium at Wembley. Kobbie Mainoo could make his full England debut at just 18 years old and establish himself in time for a trip to the Euros. There is plenty for Three Lions fans to enjoy this break.

Almost every national team has two matches this window. While very few are competitive, sit back and enjoy less stressful football. Your blood pressure needs time to recover after the FA Cup Quarterfinal.

2. Go Outside

Playing football is perhaps more fun than watching. Get outside and dribble through your friends like Mainoo did against Liverpool.

If you don’t enjoy playing, go hiking or play a sport that you enjoy. There are plenty of options for getting off your football-watching chair and getting out on your free weekend.

Don’t worry. Manchester United play again next weekend, so you can head right back in to watch the Brentford match.

3. Spend Time with Friends and Family

A weekend without club football is sad. However, it presents an opportunity for you to spend a day out with loved ones without missing any matches. You can get away from the television and leave your phone behind as there will be no action to miss. If you still need Manchester United as a part of your weekend, recreate the picture of Mainoo, Garnacho, and Hojlund with your loved ones.

These are just a few ways that you can enjoy the time away from our beloved Manchester United.

On a serious note, options 2 and 3 are great ways to enjoy a weekend and, if you can, do these. My wife and I are spending a weekend in the mountains with friends.

How will you be spending the international break?
